I would include a video for parents, on how they can support distance learning, and what systems are available for parents to check and see if their kids are actually submitting the assignments that they are supposed to be doing. Especially for older kids who are mostly working independently (middle and high school) how do parents keep track and monitor? This was a huge gap at our school. If your kid said they did it and you don't see any evidence to the contrary, how do you know?
I saw a huge correlation between those who set up a learning area and schedule and those who did not. Those who had things organized and available and stuck to a schedule were much more successful!
